dear fellow hunters i am very curious if anybody else had any incidents in wild boar hunting and if you did, how did you manage the situation? i was about to be very hurt by this beautiful but strong and violent animal and inspite of that i'd never quit hunting it. i would like people to share their experiences so that we all know how to deal better with this kind of situations.

It's rather a known fact that boars are no play toys. I imagine you haven't put the right distance between you and the hog, and therefore you've exposed yourself. They tend to get angry when threatened and are fierce fighters. I suggest that you find a cover at quite some distance next time. Be patient and do not expose your presence. Wink

I voted yes. But it depends... it can be dangerous compared to turkey hunting... but if we compare it with the famous black bear hunting... now that's another fish food Laughing Cool

same here,I`ve voted yes because it can be very dangerous even if you do things the right way,you never know what might happen because wild boars, like Alin said, tend to get angry when threatened and they could be very dangerous.

I have never hunted wild boar so far, but I know for sure that it is very dangerous! In fact it's lot more dangerous than deer hunting Smile) I have heard that these animals can be vrey violent and one may be even killed by them ! I think you've go to be a very experiented hunter before you start doing this, or at least be with someone whoe knows pretty good what he' is doing. i also think the satisfaction is greater! Smile
