Hi everyone! I am curious to find what great deer (whitetail in particular) hunting locations are there in the US and which is your favorite. I'll go first. Very Happy
Although I can't say I experienced that many places, I can instantly point out my favorite of them. It is the Montana High Country Outfitters, which has a beautiful hunting lodge with excellent conditions and offers the trophy whitetail deer hunt of a life on over 500,000 acres of the spectacular Cabinet Districts of the Kootenai National Forest in Northwest Montana. I've had a great time while I stayed here and the entire hunting experience was just amazing. I am due to come back with every opportunity I get and I'd recommend it to all of you. Wink
Now let's hear other people's opinions and find out about their favorite places. Very Happy

I am not an experienced hunter so I'll pass this one and see what others have to say about it. But a very good question anyway... if I'll ever decide to go deer hunting I'll be glad I was in here and read this thread Cool Laughing

I`m not a very experienced deer hunter but i can point out a very good location for this type of hunting. It`s located in Kansas.Over 14,000 acres ! Pretty impressive, don`t you think ?The northern outfitter was founded in 1995 and since that it suffered many changes that turned this place into a hunting paradise !they plant food plots where needed, and keep mineral pits fresh. They also limit the number of hunters they take each year. In addition, they harvest a number of does each year to manage the buck-to-doe ratio. Also, the lodge has guides that are also hunters. I totally recommend it !

Here's another great one: the Bostick Plantation in South Carolina, which offers over 10,000 managed acres and all of the Southern hospitality while hunting for trophy whitetails. The awesome possibilities will surely make you want to come again.

I really am into deer hunting! It's quite catchy to hunt this type of prey. It's very unpredictable and that's what gives the thrill to all this thing. If you ever pass by Edwards Plateau in Texas you will have the best deer hunting ever! Smile

Get yourself to Pennsylvania, since Gary Alt instituted antler restrictions the deer population is a bit smaller but the deer are bigger and the herd is a lot healthier than in the past. Any of the northern tier counties are good, so is the rest of the state, shucks they are even hunting them with archery in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. Good Luck
